Why Is It So Hard To Lose Weight For Men Over 40?

WHY IS IT SO CHALLENGING TO LOSE MY BELLY FAT?

You see, as a man that is over 40, your biology and metabolism have changed.

Which means you cannot do what you did in your 20’s and 30’as to lose weight, which includes going on crash diets and working out in the gym 6x/week.

If you try to do what you did in your earlier years, you will fail…

One of the main reasons that crash diets and rigorous workouts will not work for you anymore comes down to two words…

INSULIN RESISTANCE

Let’s discuss what this means and how you can over come this metabolic syndrome to craft the body and health you truly desire…

What is Insulin Resistance?

Insulin Resistance is the bodies inability to regulate and utilize glucose.

This is a very dangerous and often fatal condition that leads to many different health conditions in the body.

Every single cell in your body runs on an energy source called glucose. (The exception being Red blood cells)

The only way your cells can utilize glucose properly is with an anabolic hormone called “Insulin.”

Insulin is released from the pancreas when glucose levels rise in the bloodstream.

Think of Insulin as little “Pac-Men” gobbling up glucose and spitting them into the cells.

The cells can then turn that glucose into useable energy. (Known as A.T.P — Adenosine triphosphate)

Now here is the problem… When you eat foods that are high in Carbohydrates over years and years, your body has to produce more and more Insulin to handle the excess amount of glucose that gets dumped in your blood stream.

The cells then go into lockdown mode…. They shut down their ability to communicate with Insulin.

When this happens, your body senses this, and produce even more Insulin…

But the cells are not listening…

They have become “resistant” to the effects of Insulin…

And when this happens, excess glucose builds up in the bloodstream…which is a scary place to be.

If Insulin cannot get the excess glucose into the cells, it then diverts the glucose the liver, where it gets converted to Triglycerides.

These Triglycerides get deposited as fat in the Liver (leading to Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Diseases)

The rest exit out of the liver, float around the bloodstream, and eventually get deposited into your body fat stores…

This cycle repeats itself over and over again, until your body begins to breakdown and develop other types of diseases, including obesity, heart disease, cancer, strokes, and other life-threatening illnesses.

In fact, all illnesses can be traced back to Insulin Resistance.

You take away Insulin resistance and you will become healthy, lean, and fit.

So, the question becomes, how do you get rid of Insulin Resistance?
